To Push Financial Literacy into the Law

Many teenagers believe that financial knowledge and skills are crucial to achieving our life goals. Personal finance is a fundamental skill that everyone should possess. However, most teens aren’t getting the financial education they need and are left to create a DIY patchwork of tips and tricks for money management when they grow up.

Many teens don't feel knowledgeable about personal finance, and one in five don’t know how to balance a checkbook.

This is a problem that needs to be fixed.

As of 2023, 21 states require that high schools teach financial literacy, and less than 30 states require a high school economics course.

We’re on a mission to change that by pushing Financial Literacy into the Law. Before every student can have adequate personal finance education in their schools, we are aiming to help all of our peers– not just those living in states with strong financial education mandates – are equipped with the tools to make better decisions for their financial futures.
